PART IV

[A few hours, and rides and games, later, everyone troops back to their buses to head home.]

TAKUYA: Hey, wait a minute! What about our battle?!
TAI: That's right, I forgot!
YOLEI: Wish it could have stayed forgotten.
DAVIS: I'm ready, Josh [ua Seth; voice of Tai]. What about you guys, Brian [Beacock; voice of Takato] and Michael [Reisz; voice of Takuya]?
TAKUYA: I'm set, Brian [Donovan; voice of Davis].
TAKATO: I'm ready. What about you, Guilmon?
GUILMON: Yep!
DAVIS: C'mon, Ken, please! Just this once?!
KEN: Oh, very well. It will stop you nagging.
WORMMON & VEEMON: *laugh*
TAI: Then let's do it!
AGUMON: Bring it on! Agumon, warp digivolve to...
WARGREYMON: WarGreymon!
MATT: Let's give him a power boost, huh, Gabumon?
GABUMON: You bet. Gabumon, warp digivolve to...
METALGARURUMON: MetalGarurumon!
SORA: *sigh* Now Matt's getting in on it too.

BOTH: DNA digivolve to...
OMNIMON: Omnimon!
VEEMON: Veemon, digivolve to...
WORMMON: Wormmon, digivolve to...

STINGMON: Stingmon!

DIGIVICE: Biomerge digivolution.
TAKATO: Biomerge activate!

TOMMY: Ice into Flame!
TAKUYA: Execute! Unified Spirit Evolution!

[The others clear back as the four large Digimon form a wide circle.]

OMNIMON: Ready?
OTHER THREE: Oh, yeah.
OMNIMON: Supreme Cannon!
IMPERIALDRAMON: Mega Crusher!
GALLANTMON: Soul Spear!
EMPERORGREYMON: Pyro Dragons!

[The attacks all meet in the center, causing a huge explosion. As the smoke clears, the damage is assessed. Agumon, Gabumon, Veemon, Wormmon, Takato, Guilmon, and Takuya are all lying on the ground. Nearby, Bus One is burnt to a crispy pile of ashes.]

MATT: I guess we don't have to worry about that cracked window anymore.
KARI: I guess they're evenly matched.
TK: That's a relief. This way, none of their egos are bruised.
TAI: Omnimon's attack first!
DAVIS: Nuh-uh! Imperialdramon's did!
TAKATO: No, it was Gallantmon's attack!
TAKUYA: Guys! I know for a fact that it was mine.
OTHER THREE: Was not!
KARI: You were saying?

[They climb into the last two buses and head home. Ken drives as Wormmon, Guilmon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Hawkmon, and MarineAngemon sleep all curled up. Davis, Veemon, and J.P. talk while sharing snacks they picked up at the park. Tommy naps with a large white stuffed bear he won, while Yolei, Sora, and Matt converse. Takato, Henry, Kazu, Kenta, and Jeri play the Digimon Card Game as Suzie sleeps curled up with Lopmon and Terriermon.]

HENRY: Poor Terriermon. The second we get on the bus, Suzie pulls out her Miss Prettypants outfit and puts in on him.
JERI: It might be a little much, but I think it's cute.
KAZU: Cute? Trust a girl to say that.
SORA: Okay, Yolei, it's your turn. Truth or Dare?
YOLEI: Let's go with dare.
SORA: Hmm. I got it.

[A moment later, Yolei approaches Ken.]

MATT: Are you sure about his, Sora?
SORA: Shh. Of course I am, now watch.
YOLEI: Hi, Ken, how's it going?
KEN: Good. And you?
YOLEI: Oh, it's okay. Um... I... Ken... I'm pregnant.

[The bus comes to a screeching halt causing everyone who's awake to grab onto something.]

TAKATO: Hey, what gives?!
J.P.: Why'd you hit the breaks?!
KEN: Are... you... serious?
SORA: I can't believe she did it.
YOLEI: *giggle*
KEN: You were joking?
YOLEI: Sora dared me to do it. Besides, I'm too young.
KEN: Yeah, let me just calm my racing heart.
MATT: If that didn't break the ice, then I don't know what will.
[The bus starts up again.]

YOLEI: Okay, Sora. Truth or Dare?
SORA: Truth.
MATT: Chicken.
DAVIS & VEEMON: *munch munch munch*

[On the other bus, Cody drives while Agumon, Armadillomon, Tentomon, Gomamon, and Palmon all curl up, sleeping. Tai, his soccer ball having been taken away, talks with Koji and Koichi about their adventures Bokomon works on his book while trying to keep Neemon from falling over asleep on him. The two Patamon's each share a smoothie with their respective girlfriends, Gatomon and Salamon. Izzy works on his laptop as Mimi helps Joe study for his exam. Kari falls asleep against TK, holding a large stuffed dolphin he won for her. And Zoe and Takuya converse in low tones.]

TAI: Wow. So you guys have been through a lot.
KOJI: Yeah, but our adventures matured us. We realized things we never knew about ourselves.
KOICHI: We grew up.
TAI: That's the same thing that happened with us. In the beginning, I was just a hit-headed impatient leader. But after we saved both worlds, I had become wiser and less impatient.
IZZY: But you're still as hot-headed as ever.
ALL: *laugh*
MIMI: Good job, Joe. Another correct answer. You seem to be doing better since I promised I'd give you a kiss for every one you got right.
JOE: Heh heh. Must be a coincidence.
PATAMON: Ice Cream.
GATOMON: Milk.
PATAMON 2: Kebabs.
SALAMON: Hmm. Salamon.
PATAMON: Noodles.
GATOMON: Soup.
PATAMON 2: Popcorn.
SALAMON: Nikkuman.
PATAMON: Nuts.
GATOMON: Skittles.
PATAMON 2: Snow cones.
SALAMON: Sunflower seeds.
PATAMON: Starburst [Candy].
GATOMON: Tuna.
PATAMON 2: Apple pie.
SALAMON: Eggplant!
PATAMON: What's an eggplant?
PATAMON 2: Do you plant an egg?
TK: No. An eggplant is a vegetable. It's sort of an oval shape that curves a bit and is purple with green stem leaves.
PATAMONS: Oh! The purple funny-looking things!
ALL FOUR DIGIMON: *laugh*
BOKOMON: *writing* With the true power of darkness, Koichi spirit evolved into Lowemon...
NEEMON: *sleeping* Mmm... Lemonade...

[He falls over onto Bokomon's lap.]

BOKOMON: You ninny! Get off of me!
TAKUYA: Um, Zoe... I was wondering... if you aren't busy... if you'd like to... go see a movie or something with me.
ZOE: I'd love to!
TAKUYA: And I sort of got you something at the park.

[He pulls out a small box and opens it. Inside is a thin chin necklace with a fairy hanging from it. [Kazemon's Japanese name is Fairymon].]

ZOE: It's beautiful!
TAKUYA: You're beautiful.

[He leans over and kisses her just as a camera flash goes off. Looking over, they see Kari, who had woken up, waving with her camera.]

TAKUYA: Can't a guy get any privacy?!
NEEMON: *wakes up* Piracy?! Where are the pirates?!
BOKOMON: Ignore him. (to Neemon) Go back to sleep.
ALL: *laugh*
